The Montblanc 242 fountain pen was in poor condition when I acquired it: the cap rings were bent and loose, the surface of the writing instrument was scratched, the engravings were barely visible, and the nib was slightly bent.

Unfortunately, due to years of use, the transparent barrel of the fountain pen had reached its end.

After a thorough cleaning of all the components, I replaced the cork seal of the writing instrument.

The piston mechanism was lubricated and made functional, and all surfaces were carefully polished to a high gloss.
